Community Lounges

The DevFest Community Lounges will feature sponsored content and breakout sessions from local tech organization leaders, speakers from the conference, and artists that use Google technology in their work. Join inclusive tech leaders from the Google Developer Group, Women Techmakers, Black Tech Women, Spelman Innovation Lab, and more for discussions and strategies on how to create an accessible tech ecosystem for everyone. Interactive art installations that feature Google products like Google VR, Magenta AI, and more will be available for conference attendees to explore and demo with the artists.

Atlanta lead organizer for Black Tech Women, Shanice Graham-Merrill, will be discussing what diversity and inclusion means for black women in tech and how we can enhance the lives of black women in the tech ecosystem, through creating community, developing perspective and continuing to discuss opportunities to find solutions.

The Glad Scientist

The Glad Scientist, aka Daniel Sabio, is an Atlanta artist who also works closely with tech startups at the Atlanta incubator & seed fund TechSquare Labs. His unique perspectives on technology’s role in art stem from a bizarre mixture of subcultures fused with insights gained from studies in some of music’s richest cultures, including Ghana, Turkey and Brazil.
